On September 4th and 5th, 2023, our Technical Team and Commercial Director, Amanda López, were present at the AirConnected Urban Air Mobility event, in São Paulo, at the Frei Caneca auditorium to debate the relationship between smart city and air transport, in the context of urban development, mobility and the economy of Brazilian cities. As many know, one of the main topics covered at the event was the development of the mobility strategy, with technological, sustainable and safe solutions, more precisely on the entire Urban Air Mobility or Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem.

On the 5th, in the morning, we had a panel on the potential of this sector in the world and in Brazil. How to prepare the infrastructure for the development of activity in the initial stage of the business and its challenges and opportunities. The first round of lectures was given by Roberto Honorato, Superintendent of Airworthiness - ANAC - National Civil Aviation Agency and featured the following speakers: Captain Márcio André, Specialist in Air Traffic Management - DECEA - Airspace Control Department; Flavia Renata Dantas Alves Silva Ciaccia, VP of User Experience and Market Intelligence - Eve Air Mobility; Luiz Paulo da Silva Costa, Project Manager - Hobeco; Vitor De Marchi, Brazil Managing Director - To70 Aviation.

Still in the morning, the second panel debate was about how new urban mobility has aroused interest for emerging businesses, with the participants: Dario Rais Lopes, CEO and professor - Aeroportos Paulistas & Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie; Samuel Salomão, Founder, President & Chief Product Officer - Speedbird Aero; Adalberto Febeliano, VP of Strategy and ESG - Synerjet Corp. Moderation: Roberta Fagundes Leal Andreoli, founding partner - Leal Andreoli Advogados.

The event in the afternoon featured the last panel on air mobility solutions from eVTOL companies, the development of infrastructure and how the air and land side of Vertiporto fits into the city and its development. The speakers participating in this round were: Rogerio Prado, Chief Executive Officer - Pax Aeroportos; Wanderley Galhiego Jr., Director of New Business and Innovation - Socicam; Ana Laura Rebello, Partner - VertiBR, and was moderated by Lucas Florêncio Queiróz de Oliveira, Co-founding Partner - AL Drones.

With the latest events, we believe that this operation of urban mobility services is getting closer. The expectation is that in 2026 we will have the first flights operated here in Brazil and a potential of up to 400 daily vehicles operating at the same time. While EVTOL manufacturers are seeking approvals for their aircraft, concessionaires and companies are already producing their projects to implement their vertiports in the main capitals of Brazil. To remain positive regarding this launch, it is important that all companies, regulatory bodies, concessionaires and organizations work together to create an effective, quality and safe Air Mobility Plan for its users.
