From the 19th to the 22nd of July 2023, our team was in the city of Guarajá-Mirim in Rondônia to install the second TT-12 Transportable Tower for the PAME (Aeronautical Electronics Material Park) an entity of the Brazilian Air Force.

This Tower was designed to support the TPS-B34 Radar, which is a primary type air traffic control radar, which reads the signals reflected by the aircraft that were illuminated by it. The use of the TPS-B34 radar system is extremely important to guarantee the safety and defense of Brazilian airspace.
The TT-12 Tower has been gaining strength in the market due to its specific characteristics:
- Estimated total weight 6,900kg; disregarding the mass of the tooling and assembly support accessories;
- Maximum height 12m to the Platform;
- Minimum height 3.2m to the Platform;
- Modular Assembly System;
- Three sets of loading columns (Pau de Carga) to aid the vertical transport of parts in the assembly process;
- Vertical advances of the structure through a hydraulic system, consisting of a hydraulic unit and three 2-meter cylinders;
- Raising the Radar to ground level through the system, consisting of a hydraulic unit and four cylinders with a stroke of 1.05 m;
- Installation process on a base, with anchor bolts anchored to the ground;
- Walkway around the entire Radar support platform, protected by a guardrail, equipped with a trap door;
- Vertical bed for anchoring the Radar electrical cabling;
- Three sets of stairs and assembly support platforms;
- Sailor's ladder to access the top of the Tower.
In addition to the assembly, our Technical Engineer provided training to those in charge of FAB assembly and delivered the certificate, completing this delivery.
Now, in the coming months, the third and final TT-12 Tower will be delivered and assembled in Porto Esperidião in Mato Grosso, completing this project with the Brazilian Air Force.
